2011 is going to be a blast of a ride!!!!
Check out these incredible routes!!!!
Saturday’s Base Ride – 24 Miles
Starting from Mt. Hood Community College, this route will warm you up through the neighborhood, and then catch a downhill breeze along Division before pedaling out toward Oxbow Park.  After a few rollers, we come upon a vista of Mount Hood and the Cascade Foothills before stopping in Sandy at mile 12, for a rest stop and refreshments.  By now the route has already reached the summit of this tame ride.  Catch some more rollers and flat country roads back toward Gresham.  Put your dibs on next year’s Christmas tree as you pass the tree farms, and don’t forget to stop at mile 19 (at the corner of Pleasant Hill & Bluff) for some water and conversation before re-entering the suburbs and finishing off your part in battling MS.

Saturday’s Mid-Range Ride – 65 Miles
This route will follow the Base Ride out to the Sandy rest stop, and then forge a new path toward Boring. The first big descent will take the route down to Barton Park, and deliver you to rest stop #2.  After some fuel, a lovely flat ride awaits for the next several miles.  After that, a 4 mile gradual climb from the Clackamas River up to Redland Road will be rewarded with a 6 mile descent into Oregon City, where you will find a hosted Lunch Stop at Clackamette Park.  Relax, enjoy yourself, and take it all in.  After lunch, the route takes you on a scenic cruise along the Clackamas River, back to Barton.  Be sure to take your last rest at Barton Park, and remember how much fun you had earlier on that first big descent. Now it’s time to pay the piper, and regain that elevation with a brief but steep climb. We built this climb carefully, using last year's feedback from riders as a template for safety, and success. Once victorious over the climb, you’ll be back into rolling farmland and then the burbs, as your day’s battle against MS comes to a close.

Saturday’s Century Ride – 100 miles
Follow the Mid-Range Ride out to Clackamette Park in Oregon City, Don’t forget to slow down and take in the sights of the Dr. Seuss tree farm (you’ll know it when you see it).  Grab some fuel at a rest stop near the Molalla River before the steepest climb of the day, into rural Clackamas County. For those of you who absolutely love to climb, we dedicate the next 15 miles (and 900+ feet of elevation) to you. Your reward is descending down country roads and through farms, back into Barton Park for more fueling and to get ready for your final major climb.  We hope you remember the screaming curvy descent to the Clackamas River from last year’s ride, as it is your reward again for taking on the Century Ride!  With elevation being shed with nearly every turn of your wheels, you are sure to enjoy the final miles as you enter the suburbs and complete your day’s battle against MS.
